‘THE BEST DAY EVER’: MUZZA MASHUP VIBED
Project Distribution turned Murarrie Skatepark into the hub of skateboarding for a day. A day packed with skateboarding, good vibes and free stuuuuuuuff. So much fun! Not only did the Brisbane skateboard community show up in numbers, skateboarders and friends came from all over South-East Queensland to join in on the good times. Photos, results & recap.

BOWLZILLA: 16 & UNDER RECAP, RESULTS, PHOTOS
BOWLZILLA: Jake Thatcher is ASF Australian Park Skating Champion 2021 in the 16 & under division. He won BOWLZILLA 2021 in front of Freddie Arnold and Logan Graff. BOWLZILLA 2021: GOOD VIBES & HAPPY SMILES
BOWLZILLA: It’s the official ASF Australian Park Skating Championship - but Bowlzilla is so much more than a skateboard competition. The crowd is wild & loud, the atmosphere is electric and the vibe is nothing but pure (skateboard) love. We spent the entire day by the bowl to capture a moment or two…hundred. BOWLZILLA: GIVE IT UP FOR TORA WALDREN ON THE MIC
BOWLZILLA. One day to go. It’s been a loooooong year but tomorrow is the big day. The vibe around the notorious bowl is buzzing with excitement and Bowlzilla 2021 is set to be a fun, positive experience to competitors and spectators alike. Tora Waldren will be on the mic to guide, support and hype us all through the day - so before she looses her voice we hit her up for a quick chat about all things BOWLZILLA.
BOWLZILLA: THE GIRLS KICKED IT OFF!
BOWLZILLA. The wicked week of skateboarding on the Gold Coast was kicked off with an all-girls Learn to ride Clinic hosted by Yeah Girl in Tugun Skatepark on Tuesday 8 March 2021. Heaps of girls turned up and had an awesome time with the crew from Yeah Girl and special guest Indiana Barnard. See photos and feel the vibe here.
THE KIDS ARE COMING TO BOWLZILLA 2021
BOWLZILLA. We went down the coast to experience just how much effort the young skaters from Level Up put into their training before a big contest like BOWLZILLA. Unfortunately, Queensland happened and the Elanora bowl was full of water - luckily Level Up has a state of the art indoor skatepark in the suburb next door. Easy! BANGERS ALL AROUND AT CHIGGY’S BBQ SKATE JAM
Bangers on the BBQ and bangers thrown on the ramps at Chiggy’s BBQ Skate Jam Night on Thursday night. About 35 skaters - from groms, dads, masters skaters, and female rippers - were having a sweet session! Our very own Slabzoo staff photographer, Mark hit the Sunny Coast to capture the action and feel the vibe.
ASL 2021 NATIONAL STREET CHAMPIONSHIP IS GOING AHEAD
The Australian Skateboarding League has announced their 2021 National Street Championship is going ahead in Melbourne on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March. With new age groups, no invites and skaters starving to compete - this year’s National Street Championship is dressed to impress.
ETNIES REGIONALS AURA
The Sunshine Coast Skate-a-Thon 2021 in Aura was already cut down to one day due to Covid restrictions and staff travel but on the day the weather cut it even shorter. The main event - the Etnies Regionals - went ahead until the rain stopped the show just before the U16 division were about to show us their three best tricks.

Upcoming competition: sunshine coast skate-a-thon
Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative (ASCI) is hosting a fun day of skateboarding in Aura Skatepark in Baringa on Saturday 16. January 2021 - including 2021’s first official Etnies Regional competition. We went to Aura to check out the park.

Christmas is getting closer and 2020 is coming to an end. It’s been a though year but let’s end it on a skateboarding high, shall we? The Etnies Logan Showdown is a 2 day skateboarding gala - two days packed with skate competitions added a twist of festival vibes brought to you by live music, food & great crowds. Pavement Halloween 2020
Pavement’s Halloween 2020 went down at Paddo. The lessons were booked out so kids dressed up like zombies, skeletons and scary fairies were skating everywhere. What a sight! Read recap and see photos & edit here.

YEAH, THE GIRLS!
The first of two ‘20 FOR THE GIRLS’-events took place at Fairfield Skatepark on Saturday morning. There was a huge turn up of keen girls all super excited to be apart of this welcoming skateboarding event.
