Women’s skateboarding is booming, and it showed at BOWLZILLA 2021. More young girls than ever gave the comp. at first go and got to skate alongside legends like Poppy Starr Olsen and Taniah Meyers, both on the Australian Olympic team.

Taniah Meyers just recently got back from a serious knee injury – and what a comeback.  She’s close to full strength and with a solid final run she landed a second place. Yet, in the end it was 12-year-old Ruby Trew who won the Yeah Girl Womxn contest at BOWLZILLA 2021.

Ruby Trew impressed everyone with creative lines and amazing tricks and owned the Elanora bowl. This little girl is an absolute powerhouse and fully deserved took home the title as ASF Australian Park Skating Champion 2021.

Last year’s winner, Indiana Barnard has also been struggling with an injury and showed great gritt when she pushed through and impressively got away with 4th. in front of other rippers like Zahra Johns, Aaliyah Wilson, Aimee Massie and Tora Waldren.

The Yeah Girl Womxn was a blast to watch and with the support from each other these girls are all going places, that’s for sure - we can’t wait to see them all rip again @ BOWLZILLA 2022.
