SHREDDER OF THE WEEK: NOA BARNES
The kids on the Sunny coast are notorious for their mad skateboarding skills. Noa Barnes is no exception. This 11-year-old ripper basically calls Alex Skatepark his second home and loves skating with his friends at the local or at his favourite Mackay’s Sugar Bowl. Skating with my friends and going fast!

Aaron Homoki, Jamie Foy, Zion Wright.
What do you do when you're not skateboarding?
Eat and watch skate vids.

Alex Heads, Sugar Bowl, Yeppoon Skate park, oh and Chiggy's bowl!
What was the first trick you learned?
Ollie.
What has been the hardest trick to learn so far?
Kickflip!!! It took me ages.
What tricks are you practising at the moment?
Heelflips, crooked grinds and front 50 the Alex 9ft.

What do you dream about achieving with skateboarding?
Go pro or work in skateboarding.
What’s the worst slam you’ve had?
Bruised the bone marrow in my femur last year. It really hurt!

Rumble on the Reef 2020!

Advice to other kids starting to skate
Start easy and work up, practice lots, SEND IT!
We loved getting to know Noa a bit better. Promise us to be a legend and give him some high fives next time you see him around.
