After a rough year of injuries, Haylie Powell decided to jump on a plane to hit the skateparks in the US of A. Probably the best idea ever. At least her socials definitely makes the fomo very real - so, we checked in with Haylie to ask what’s up over there in the land of opportunity.
Fresh 2022 ASCI Skate Contest Formats
Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative (ASCI) has shaken things up a bit in preparation for their 2022 year of skateboarding contests. We’ve hit ASCI’s Donny Fraser up to get some further insights about the motivation behind the new formats and you can find all the information about the new divisions below.
Logan Showdown 2021 - Street Comp: Results, recap & photos
On Sunday 12 December Flagstone Skatepark set the scene for the last ASCI comp of the year. The weather was beautiful, a little less hot than at last year’s comp, the skaters were keen and the comp had flow and gnarly skating. A great end to an almost normal year of skateboard competitions. RUMBLE 2021 FINALS: Results, recap & photos
On Saturday 25 September the 2021 ASF National Street Champions were crowned after a spectacular night of skateboarding by some of Australia’s best skateboarders, juniors through to Women’s and Open’s. Favourites impressed, underdogs surprised and the vibing crowd created the perfect street final atmosphere in Mackay’s Sugar Bowl.

RUMBLE 2021: Mackay’s Sugar Bowl was definitely full of sugar last night! On Friday 24 September the 2021 Queensland Bowlriding Championships served up some of Australia’s best in a feast of bowlriding wizardry. Year after year this event delivers and last night was no different.

BOWLZILLA: 16 & UNDER RECAP, RESULTS, PHOTOS
BOWLZILLA: Jake Thatcher is ASF Australian Park Skating Champion 2021 in the 16 & under division. He won BOWLZILLA 2021 in front of Freddie Arnold and Logan Graff. The level of bowl skateboarding by these young rippers was definitely a national championship worthy. Find photos, recap and results below.
BOWLZILLA 2021: GOOD VIBES & HAPPY SMILES
BOWLZILLA: It’s the official ASF Australian Park Skating Championship - but Bowlzilla is so much more than a skateboard competition. The crowd is wild & loud, the atmosphere is electric and the vibe is nothing but pure (skateboard) love. We spent the entire day by the bowl to capture a moment or two…hundred. ASL 2021 NATIONAL STREET CHAMPIONSHIP IS GOING AHEAD
The Australian Skateboarding League has announced their 2021 National Street Championship is going ahead in Melbourne on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March. With new age groups, no invites and skaters starving to compete - this year’s National Street Championship is dressed to impress.

Pavement Halloween 2020

The first of two ‘20 FOR THE GIRLS’-events took place at Fairfield Skatepark on Saturday morning. There was a huge turn up of keen girls all super excited to be apart of this welcoming skateboarding event.
