BOWLZILLA 2023 | RECAP & RESULTS
Bowlzilla: The National Park Skateboarding Champions 2023 were crowned in Elanora on the Gold Coast on Saturday 25 March. The Level Up squad showed that spending most of your waking hours in a skatepark pays off as their skaters took gold in Open’s, Women’s and 16u but it definitely wasn’t handed to them. The competition was tough with an impressive show from upcoming talents and experienced skaters. Find full list of results and photos here.

BOWLZILLA 2022: Elanora Bowl was once again the center of the Australian park skateboarding universe when the seventh annual Bowlzilla 2022 came to the Gold Coast on Saturday 19th March. The supportive crowd witnessed impressive levels of skateboarding as the National Park Skateboarding Champions were crowned.

Ruby Trew: Not your average teenager
Ruby Trew was only 12 years old when she locked in her title as the Women’s ASF Australian Park Skating Champion 2021 with a 540 McTwist at BOWLZILLA 2021 on the Gold Coast.
We checked in with her to hear what she’s been up to the past year - and learn what life’s like when you’re still too young to drive a car but already an experienced elite athlete with titles galore, dreams of the Olympics and a full-time high school study to take care of.

BOWLZILLA 2021: GOOD VIBES & HAPPY SMILES
BOWLZILLA: It’s the official ASF Australian Park Skating Championship - but Bowlzilla is so much more than a skateboard competition. The crowd is wild & loud, the atmosphere is electric and the vibe is nothing but pure (skateboard) love. We spent the entire day by the bowl to capture a moment or two…hundred. Scroll through to get into that BOWLZILLA mood once again. Enjoy!
BOWLZILLA: GIVE IT UP FOR TORA WALDREN ON THE MIC
BOWLZILLA. One day to go. It’s been a loooooong year but tomorrow is the big day. The vibe around the notorious bowl is buzzing with excitement and Bowlzilla 2021 is set to be a fun, positive experience to competitors and spectators alike. Tora Waldren will be on the mic to guide, support and hype us all through the day - so before she looses her voice we hit her up for a quick chat about all things BOWLZILLA.
BOWLZILLA: THE GIRLS KICKED IT OFF!
BOWLZILLA. The wicked week of skateboarding on the Gold Coast was kicked off with an all-girls Learn to ride Clinic hosted by Yeah Girl in Tugun Skatepark on Tuesday 8 March 2021. Heaps of girls turned up and had an awesome time with the crew from Yeah Girl and special guest Indiana Barnard. See photos and feel the vibe here.
BOWLZILLA: ‘THE CROWD IS WILD & LOUD’
13-year old Freddie Arnold is one of 8 skaters on the Jezebel skateboard team. He came 2nd in last year’s Bowlzilla Gold Coast and this year he’s back to compete in the electric atmosphere at the Elanora Bowl. We hit him and his board sponsor Mick from Jezebel up for a chat about the comp everyone is talking about.
THE KIDS ARE COMING TO BOWLZILLA 2021
BOWLZILLA. We went down the coast to experience just how much effort the young skaters from Level Up put into their training before a big contest like BOWLZILLA. Unfortunately, Queensland happened and the Elanora bowl was full of water - luckily Level Up has a state of the art indoor skatepark in the suburb next door. Easy! See photos and (seriously funny) interviews from the rad night here.
BOWLZILLA IS BACK
BOWLZILLA Gold Coast is reopening the skateboarding world with the first major competition of 2021. Once again the ASF National Park Skating Championships will bring skaters, friends & families together for an epic week of skateboard extravaganza on the Gold Coast.
