Upcoming competition: Springfield Halloween Jam

Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative (ASCI) is hosting a Road to Rumble - Halloween Jam skateboarding competition at Springfield on Saturday 31. October 2020. It’s an official skateboarding competition but with a Halloween twist. So come for the competition and stay for the spooky dressed-up skateboarders.

How does the competition run?

Since it’s an official competition under ASCI, the format will follow their official competition guidelines for a street competition.

The format for all divisions will be as follows:

  • All participating skateboarders will receive 3 x 1 minute runs in their respective divisions. The best run of the three counts.

  • There are no distinct finals, but after the 3 runs, the top 50% will continue on and do 3 best tricks each. The best trick counts.

  • The top 3 overall scores (best run+best trick) count for the winning places.

  • If an uneven amount of competitors are in a heat, the additional competitor will go on to the best trick section.

Point scoring

Points will be given per tricks landed, the more technical the trick, the higher points possible. However, creativity and flow are also taken into account, so it’s beneficial to utilise the skatepark and do different tricks instead of repeating the same one several times.

Points will not be deducted for fails.

Halloween edition

Prizes will be given for best halloween costumes!
