SHREDDER OF THE WEEK: NICO LOUBER
Who is this kid? He arrives at Bracken Ridge skatepark and completely rips it apart. Fakie shuvits, 5050 grinds, fakie bigspins, backside crooks, huge gaps and what-not! The list is only getting longer and there is no doubt, this young shredder is determined to land every trick he tries - and he loves it. With a can-do attitude and a huge smile on his face this kid is going skateboard places. His name is Nico Louber, he is 7-years-old and is this week’s shredder on Slabzoo.

What’s your favourite thing about skating?
The cold feeling I get when I land a big trick (adrenaline).

Tommy Fynn & Filipe Mota.
What do you do when you're not skateboarding?
I love playing rugby, camping with my family and anything that hypes me up!
What has been the hardest trick to learn?
Heelflips.
What is your favourite skateboarding spots?
Mount Cotton, Mango Hill & surrounds and Sunshine Coast.
What was the first trick you learned?
Ollie.
What tricks are you practising at the moment?
Fakie big spin, Five-O’s and Backside heel flips.

How would your friends describe you?
Caring, friendly, supportive, funny and energetic.
What do you dream about achieving with skateboarding?
I’d love to go to Woodward one day and just keep having fun. A Board sponsor would be cool too.
What’s the worst slam you’ve had?
Tried a huge wall ride at Brackenridge on the inverted wall, clipped the top, and came straight down. Luckily Mum wasn’t there!
What’s your best skateboarding memory?
Skating with Dad, landing a trick for the first time.
