SHREDDER OF THE WEEK: BILLY SHOBBROOK
Here’s a girl to look out for. She’s only 5 years old but is already steezier than most. The skatepark is her favourite playground and she loves dropping in on big ramps. Billy is this week’s Slabzoo shredder!
What is your favourite thing about skating?
Dropping in on lots of different ramps.
Your favourite skateboarder?
My dad(awesome photographer, Doug Shobbrook) and Sky Brown.
What do you do when you're not skateboarding?
Play with my three sisters (Pip, Elk and baby Wren).
Your favourite skateboarding spot?
The Toad Bowl (Deagon Bowl).
The hardest trick to learn?
Acid drop off a big ledge.

Drop in.
What are you practicing at the moment?
Fakie tail stalls.
What do you dream about doing with skateboarding?
Dropping in on a mega ramp and going to Woodward Camp.
What’s your best skate memory?
Dropping in at the Toad Bowl for the first time and skating with my friends at Bracken Ridge skatepark.
Favourite song?
‘Can I kick it’ by A Tribe Called Quest (we listen to it while I’m skating on the driveway at home).

Pizza.

What's your best advice to kids who’ve just started skateboarding?
Keep practicing the same trick until you finally get it!
