Trent Riley Memorial Skate COMP 2021

On Saturday 20 November 2021 Morayfield Skatepark was a beautiful mess of skateboarding, love and fond memories of the local skateboarder, Trent Riley, who went missing on Moreton Bay, 14th April while fishing. Trent’s family had organised the day for everyone to come together and celebrate the legend, T Buna with a skate comp. And everyone sure did.

The support from the community was - not surprisingly - beyond incredible. Everyone and everyone’s dogs were there. The sun was shining, the drinks were cool and the vibing was real. Yet, the day was definitely packed with skateboarding. Trent’s sponsors had made sure there were heaps of prices and cash money to give away to everyone who participated.

The morning started with free skate lessons by Chiggy’s, followed by the girls’ and boys’ comps. As the skatepark slowly cooled down during the afternoon the mad skaters who hit the notorious Morayfield vert heated up the crowd and Nixen Osborne set it alight with a huge 540. Open’s was a true carnage and the day ended with live music and love all around.

Thank you to Trent’s family, friends and sponsors for putting together this wholesome day.
