Shredder check-in: Zeb Ruttan
This rad kid found the love for skateboarding just 10 months ago and has already got his kickflips down. When you watch him and his friends go back-to-back with a trick for the 100s time you feel the determination, grid and most of all sense the good skatelife! Zeb Ruttan is 9 years old, lives in Coolum Beach on the Sunshine coast and is a regular at Chiggy’s indoor park (some might think he actually lives in the park). We checked in with 9-year-old Zeb.

Hey Zeb, you’ve only been skating for 10 months and have been hooked from the get go. What do you love most about it?
Skating street with my friends and learning new tricks.
What is your best moment so far?
Landing my first kick flip.
Can’t believe you’ve got your kickflips down already. And your worst slam?
Yeah, that was a Kick flip off the checker box at chiggy’s where I landed primo and face planted.
Ouch! Do you have a favorite skate brand?
Oh yes. Blind skateboards, ace trucks, bones bearings, spitfire wheels, Nike SB shoes, Volcom clothes.
Do you have a song you love skating to?
‘Hypnotize’ by Biggie
What's your best advice to fellow skaters?
Keep pushing and don't give up.

I’m pretty good with Tech decks.
