RUMBLE 2021 SEMI FINALS: Results, recap & photos

RUMBLE ON THE REEF: On Thursday 23 September 2021 the ASF National Street Championships semi-finals set Sugar Bowl on fire. With more juniors than ever competing and an adult line-up packed with legends and rising stars everyone was in for a treat.

Things are getting serious in Mackay. Australia’s best skaters are not here to play it safe and the competition is definitely ON!

The junior girls showed a high level of skateboarding never seen before. They threw kick-flips, rails tricks and airs all over the park. It was an incredible close battle and all the girls from the semi-finals progressed to Saturday’s finals.

The junior boys were hungry to get out there and show the world what they’ve got. 12 & Under was a packed division. Everyone knew they had to go all in for a chance to get one of the 8 golden finals tickets - and they did. 16 & Under was not less exciting as some favourites let the nerves get to them as others stepped up in their place. Yet, the finals will be boosting with familiar names like Jack Lewis, Kaedyn Collins and Lukas Byers.

In the Womens Chloe Covell did her thing, Haylie Powell came back strong from her injury and Blayze Harmer impressed with a great back of tricks. All 5 competitors progressed to the finals.

In the Opens Tommy Fynn didn’t disappoint his many fans around Sugar Bowl and legend Dennis Durrant showed the young names like Corey Nixon and Zane Hetherington why he’s one of the absolute best in the game.
